Doug Evans

I am a woodworker living in Eugene, Oregon, creating furniture and lighting that emphasize simplicity, craftsmanship, and the natural character of wood. Most of the material I use is locally sourced, often from FSC-certified origins, and is typically milled by local sawyers. Working with regional wood allows me to maintain a close connection to both the material and the community that helps bring each piece to life.

My designs are intentionally straightforward. I am most drawn to forms that highlight proportion, function, and the appeal of the wood itself rather than unnecessary ornamentation. Whether building a table, cabinet, or lighting fixture, my goal is to create pieces that are durable, useful, and visually calm.

When I'm not in the shop, I enjoy spending time on rivers throughout the Pacific Northwest. The places and rhythms of those trips influence my approach to design and making.
