Jackie Lester

I am amazed to find myself in the art world after a career, first as a speech-language pathologist, then a much longer career as an administrator in K-12 education. I’ve never had the time for any formal art training or exploration until finally settling into retirement.  A move from my 40 wooded acres outside of Cottage Grove Oregon where I spent all of my free time enjoying the forest or gardening, has been a profound life change.   Finding myself living in town in Eugene has prompted me to explore alternative ways to connect with the natural world.  I found clay is the medium offering me the opportunity to get my hands dirty while setting my imagination free.
