About the Artist

I’ve always been interested in art and making things with my hands even while employed as a social worker or in the school district where I taught children to read and do math. I was a full time potter for 15 years, creating semi-functional vessels from very thin, torn, or woven, sheets of porcelain. I’ve shown that work in galleries all over the country and have a large coffee service in the vice-presidential collection. After moving to Eugene, Oregon in 1990 I took a jewelry making class at a community college and have been excited about making jewelry ever since. Many other classes and workshops have added to my knowledge of the jewelry making processes. My pieces are made by casting, fabrication, stone setting, stamping, and often feature pearls, and semi-precious stones. Each piece is either one of a kind or limited edition. These pieces are made to wear and enjoy.
