Photography of Oregon presents: Chris Landis
“Las Vegas Pandemic 2020”
On March 18th, 2020, following the statewide closure due to the COVID pandemic, Las Vegas, along with its famed “strip” was suddenly a western ghost town. Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana, known as the busiest intersection in the world, was all but vacant. Chris Landis was there, capturing this poignant moment in his series of photographs exhibited at the New Zone Gallery in Eugene, Oregon in November.
