About the Artist

"I am in love with color, and how it emerges like life, like hope, from its absence. It makes no apologies and is unafraid. Surviving cancer, every moment is exquisitely beautiful to me. Although I play with most of the fiber arts, I am currently focused on wet felted and needle felted tapestries, which remind me of painting, only so much warmer! The colorful clouds of fiber are so luminous and textural, the tool so simple, (a single barbed needle). My fingers fly over the ground and leave a glow behind. "An environmental activist, I am horrified by the destruction and disrespect we have shown our Mother Earth. The Apocalypse Carousel work is an attempt to draw focus to the natural and manmade harvests of Greed and Apathy, to the beauty of life, conjuring hope and belief in one another.
