Grant Bruckner
About the Artist |
From the “In Rainbow Apocalypse” Exhibit, June 6 - June 30, 2019 - New Zone Gallery, Eugene: “In Rainbow Apocalypse” An installation by Grant Bruckner Grant enjoys installation art because the artist is able to juxtapose art with the external world, often bringing the viewer into a different world altogether. He is intrigued with the theatrical element of installation work. Grant spent a year in Portland, Oregon, in 2012, creating an enormous body of work teasing elements of conflict inherent in art, creativity, consumerism, fashion, life, death, and sexuality. You see only a portion of his efforts in this installation. Outside of wanting to live the dream of being a professional artist, Grant has spent his life as a grower in the cannabis industry. He currently lives in Eugene with his young son, Utah, his girlfriend, and their two dogs.
