About the Artist |
"For most of my life I have worked from the logical and linear side of my brain. I now find myself in creative space, with an unexpected leap into the visual and intuitive side. Exploring innovative techniques, I engage in various ways of putting color on surfaces. As color is my primary inspiration, abstracts and landscapes are my primary expression, typically involving acrylic and alcohol ink.
In an exploratory yet promising phase, I capture various imagines from an original “mother” artwork and create “offspring” pieces which focus on color and form, offering those images as prints in various sizes. Membership in New Zone Gallery, a Eugene art collective focusing on experimental visual arts, has encouraged my curiosity." - Mary B. |
